Unique experience
The underground mills were an extraordinary example of Swiss ingenuity and expertise. The visitor is well thought out with a good audio guide and plenty of stops. It's cold. jacket and sensible shoes essential.

Really special and absolutely worth a visit
There are plenty of clock and watch museums to see in the area but this is an alternative not to miss. It's unique, historical and quite amazing how the old caves and mill wheels have been restored and displayed. The audio guide is a must (English available). There are steps (some steep) to be negotiated as you descend to the lower levels but these did not deter the seniors involved in this visit!. Free parking and very friendly staff.

Good Lord! With all the health and safety nonsense?
Really excellent underground tour up and down stairways inside caves, to see how the underground mills worked with falling water. A waterwheel is turning, illustrating well how it worked. A very nice little museum completes the trip. We got in with our free ticket in the ‘La Magie des Lieux’ booklet of entry tickets we bought with the package deal at our hotel ‘les rives du Doubs’
