Great for a days visit / beautiful place
Like many places in Lanzarote, Puerto del Carmen was originally a small fishing village, and the old harbour is still a delightful place to visit, boasting some excellent bars, restaurants and excursions running out of the harbour.

Walk Along the Lovely Boardwalk
Lots to see there and trips coming and going. view the local cats sleeping under the boardwalk. We had visiting White Egrets and Grey Herons to keep us amused. The REd Cafe at the start of the boardwalk is a nice stopping point for views and cold beers.

Beautiful
The old town harbour is beautiful and there are many fabulous places to eat and drink within the area. If you have walking mobilities I would advise taking a taxi for a few euros in rather than walking due to the steep heels. I found the old town harbour better than the main strip, as it is more couple friendly!
