Have to see.

There aren’t many places that gather as many areas of interest for the cultural and natural heritage of Lanzarote as Cueva de los Verdes, a unique mythological-looking cave, full of legends and extraordinary landscape and beauty. It came about after the eruption of the Volcán de la Corona, and it’s one of the most impressive hidden wonders in the depths of Lanzarote. It was used as a hideout by the locals who needed shelter to protect themselves from invasions and attacks of pirates coming from the north of Africa during the 16th and 17th Centuries. In the 19th Century, it became a must for travellers, experts and European scientists due to the uniqueness of this volcanic territory, named after a family that kept their cattle in the area, the story goes

    Fantastic visit
Amazing place. We visited with two young children and they thoroughly enjoyed it, as did we. The guided tour lasts 45-50 minutes with the guide speaking in both Spanish and English. The caves are simply something breathtaking to behold. Definitely worth a visit! Reasonably priced to at 10euro for adults and 5 for children over 7 (under 7's free). There are options to get multitickets online to include some of the other attractions such as Jameos des aguas and Mirador del Rio which makes it even cheaper still.

    Best tourist attraction in Lanzarote!
This was my favourite attraction in Lanzarote. I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 because we had to queue in the sun for a long time even though we went at the recommended time and bought tickets in advance. Having said that it was worth the wait! The ticket includes a guided tour through a kilometre inside the cave. The guide spoke English and Spanish and was very friendly. The cave was really impressive, you descend 30 metres into the cave and go through various chambers. The guide explains about the cave formation and its geology. If you have mobility problems it might not be for you though, as you have to walk for a kilometre including some crouching.
