A Lovely Place to Walk, Especially if you are a Dog lover

I love walking around Fresh Pond- Even in the winter months with the trees bare and the ground frozen. It feels like you are miles away from the city. People walk their dogs here all the time- good thing I like dogs. Many let their dogs run free. I've only an an issue once where a dog was pretty aggressive- the owner finally got a clue and put him on leash. Definitely worth the walk.

    Picnic by the Pond
    Stayed in Cambridge for my daughter's college graduation. To escape the frenzy, I grabbed a salad at Whole Foods and walked across the street from our hotel. It's a busy highway but there are several traffic lights with crosswalks. I ducked under some brush and took a small footpath that led to this gorgeous, natural area. You can walk around the pond in about an hour, plus there are lots more trails if you want more exercise or privacy. There are bathrooms in the Waterworks, benches and many grassy areas for picnicking.

    A perfect place with great views. The walk around the pond is about two miles and really enjoyable.Lots of people walking their well behaved dogs and enjoying themselves. A real gem.
