Absolutely gorgeous!
My son and I stop by Rainbow pool after our river rafting trip but it was quite crowded. We came back the following morning quite early and found it exceptionally beautiful. The water is quite deep and there are picnic benches, bathrooms and plenty of parking, we highly recommend!

A Nice Spot on a Hot Day
We paid our $8 day use fee when we arrived to the mad sitting at the entrance. Our family enjoyed the shallow parts that were further upstream from the water fall. It was fun to watch people jump off the large rock. There were people there, but it wasn't too crowded.

Delightful spot if you can find a place to park
The Rainbow Pool is a cool and refreshing spot on a hot day. Located outside of Yosemite Park you can enjoy the pleasure of free access to a cool soak or swim without using one of your reserved days in the park. There is no hike involved in getting to Rainbow Pool unless you have to park up the hill along the road. Younger children might find it a challenge to walk around the large rocks to get to the water but bigger children and adults can easily help them. All in all a pleasant, easy to find spot that is quite enjoyable. The only downside is the parking is very limited.
