Very Nice Museum

Came here after visiting Sagalassos and it was beyond my expectations. I didn't expect such a small museum would have so many interesting items. The museum is well-organized and you get the chance to see different historical artifacts which were found in the archeological excavations in Sagalassos and Termessos. I would absolutely recommend you to visit this museum.

    Quick 2 hour max trip
Come here after visiting the Sagalassos site to see the friezes and statues from Sagalassos. Also, see some giant legs and a giant head. The panels give a lot of good information about Sagalassos so definitely worth checking out if you're visiting Sagalassos.

    BURDUR MUSEUM A MUST
When exploring the amazing archeological sites of Sagalossos, Kybra and Aphrodisias, the Burdur Museum is a great place to start. Many pieces from each of these sites are displayed here, and certainly helps fill in the gaps when walking and exploring each of the above areas later in the day. Their displays and information are beautifully presented and staff are all friendly and helpful, ensuring you don't miss any little hidden corners. Displays in the surrounding gardens are interesting and very informative, I wasn't aware cremational urns were apart of this history, and they have a magnificant display of these, beautifully preserved. It's not a large museum and this makes exploration so much more enjoyable, ensuring you don't miss a thing. Written explanations are precise and easily understood for any foreign visitor....
