Was never here - stupid tourist. Watch out
Had a great trip up here. Parked below at the information center. Took a quick look at the mining museum - very informative and interesting! We walked to the top and there is a spectacular view over the area. Can really recommend! Getting ready to write this review I realized that we had visittted Ballon d'Alsace and not Grand Ballon! But can recommend Ballon d'Alsace.

Another visit to the Col du Ballon D'Alsace
My wife and I drove up to the Col du Ballon D'Alsace from Saint-Maurice-sur-Moselle, passing the many cyclists enroute, and enjoyed a very good cup of coffee at the Auberge du Ballon D'Alsace. We then descended the other side to Sewen and Masevaux.
