Still a great day out

Brændesgardshaven Perhaps the world's oldest of its kind. Brændesgardshaven opened the doors for the first time in 1933. The values from back then, are the foundation of the amusement park today. These are the values that make Brændesgardshaven the traditionally nostalgic pearl of Bornholm that it is today. Brændesgardshaven is a combination of a place for the family, an Old School amusement park where children and childhood souls can break a sweat and get a smile on their lips. Brændesgardshaven is a place, where you can catch your breath. A place where guests can relax in terms of peace and quiet and enjoy a wealth of flowers and trees. You can try Denmark's oldest hand- driven carousel, our huge fun and climb land, one of the bouncy pads or the bouncy castle, mini golf or spend the day in our 6,000 Square meters large water park. You can also enjoy one of the rowing boats on the Lake, or explore the zoo. There are daily magic shows in the high season on the open air scene and toys throughout the amusement park. You can also choose to spend your day in a peaceful spot where you relax and leave the rest of the world on standby.

    Friendly place and decent pricing
We came for a day out with friends and our children. We 'dreaded' the queuing and exhorting pricing but were pleasantly surprised that all we needed to pay was a family ticket and then all enjoyment inside was included. We went rowing, looking at animals, watching a magic show and trying out old manually run carrousels. All very entertaining for our children between three and six. Had the weather been warmer we would also have tried out the water facilities. That will have to be another time. The restaurant and café facilities were slightly outdated but all in all we had a wonderful day out with the kids.

Just like old times - a time bubble
We visited 2 adults and 2 children 9 and 12, just after the Danish summer vacation ended, which means very few people was there, which was very nice. I visited the place many times as a child about 30+ years ago. It was like entering a timebubble as very little had changed since then. Unfortunately the place is very worn down and needs new paint and a fix up. However everything seems secure and the zoo animals was extremely well kept, fed and in excellent state. Big applause to the zoo keeper! The water park was in neglect and but clean. This could again use som fix up. Generally it seems that the place had a rough time during Covid, so please come and visit to save it. It’s well worth spending a day here. However children older than 12 might be bored here.
