Surprisingly the highlight of Kutná Hora for me
I originally went to Kutná Hora just because of ossuary, but since it's not possible to take pictures there, my visit of the ossuary was quite short. Compared to that, I spent about 2 hours at the cathedral. I liked the interior of the place very much. The lights pointing at the altar were creating a nice cozy atmosphere, even though the building is huge. It's possible to borrow binoculars at the entrance to the cathedral for 50 crowns and I strongly recommend that! Just for that fun to look around and notice small details at the sculptures or anywhere inside. If you plan to see all the main attractions in Kutná Hora, it's better if you drive a car. This cathedral is located 2 km something from the ossuary.

Beautiful experience
Large church grounds and a beautiful church. Make sure to walk around inside and out. Statues line the walkway, and uphill from the church has a lot of art installations to check out. Inside of the Gothic Style church take time to sit in a pew and absorb the beauty. You can walk throughout including up the stairs for a view below. Nice gift shop inside the church with reasonably priced gifts. About 45 minutes to an hour to visit.

Simply magnificent
We have visited many of the large cathedrals of Europe but this was our first visit to Kutna Hora. St Barbara's cathedral is very well-presented and meticulously preserved. Set in wonderful grounds, it has a commanding view of the town and is one of the best examples of the use of flying buttress we have seen. The interior is beautiful with very large stained glass windows, beautiful ceiling details and a wonderful pipe organ. Also, many of the columns have been colourfully decorated (although these details are in need of restoration now). There is a very interesting gallery on the top level show-casing stone cutting and other restoration projects of interest. This level (up 84 steps) offers a great view of cathedral's interior and a most interesting perspective on the buttresses.
