    Changeable opening times
This is the church with the excellent external turrets, it dominates the old town square and its towers are visible from many parts of the city. It is a surprise therefore to find that the entrace is not actually on the Old Town Square but has some shops in front of it and access is up a narrow alley. The online information says open 10-4. A service was in progress at 11.00 and people were respectfully waiting for this to finish when we arrived at 11.45. Hundreds of people exited. About 25 people then entered the church to be met by a seemingly self ap-pointed altar man who drew a rope barrier across the aisle between the steel internal railings and pointed to a new stuck on sheet of paper saying OPEN 15.00-17.00 New times or just for the day, who knows? Anyway, the interior is very good with a huge main altar and two impressive altars either side. Along the aisles against pillars are more large altars ensuring that the interior is very good but doesn’t quite match the formidable external appearance.

    Reopened at 3pm
Went to visit this church and it was shut . However it reopened at 3 pm so we went back . The entrance is not that obvious but is down a side street and through the souvenir shop . Entrance is free but there are a lot of signs asking for donations to help pay for the renovation work that is going on . Quite a somber building actually . You do a circuit of the church and can admire the side chapels and the alter . You will be in and out in 10 minutes . Very historic and worth a visit .
