Castolovice castle, Czech Republic
In 13th century built as a fortress in the marches, from 1588-1615 rebuilt into a Renaissance castle.The castle is in ownership of family Sternberg the end of 17th century till now - with two interruptions: the German occupation during the second world war and and confiscation in time of communist regime. During your visit you can admire the repaired courtyard frescoes, collections, park with wonderfull plants and minizoo.

Great castle to explore for the whole family
Lovely castle to visit! In addition to the castle our little one enjoyed feeding the birds and farm animals and exploring the park. We enjoyed a nice contemporary lunch in the restaurant which was delicious and I will consider returning just for the food when next in the area.

Amazing castle
Častolovice is an amazing castle different to other Bohemian castle we visited. We did not go into with our children but enjoyed the park with several animals and a nice playground. Worth to stop if you are traveling that area!
