So the time goes…

Lovely and calm place. In high season it’s better to come later than sooner. We’ve step in at 6 pm and we were nearly alone there. Exactly how I live it. During the day is more like a walk in the city. And without a e-ticket bought in advance you won’t get in, it’s really full as a parking place.

    Pleasant surprise
What a cool, interesting place--and even better to explore in the winter/low season (we went on a cold Sunday in November and practically had the place to ourselves). The "geologies" are fascinating from start to finish, and even the walk around the lake at the beginning is nice (and worth doing if you have the time). I think it took us about 2.5 hours (?) to walk the whole thing (including the loop around the lake), and that includes stopping fairly often to take photos and admire the rocks. There are a fair amount of stairs, and one section that would be hard for large people to get through, but I think that section has an "emergency exit" beforehand, so not to worry if you're large or maybe just a tad claustrophobic.
