    Get the Audio Guide!
    Be sure to start the tour I’m heading to the modern art museum, next-door, and getting in our you guide on the gift shop. It cost 20,000 pesos and had options in Spanish, English, and one other language. I found it really insightful. Overall, I didn’t really get Botero, and the audio guide didn’t really help me access what is special about his work. But it did really help me with other aspects of the collection, and open my eyes to new ways of appreciating art.

    Excellent Collection
    As someone who was unfamiliar with Fernando Botero, I found this collection very intriguing. His signature style of depicting people and objects in exaggerated volume is very unique. His recreations of other known works in his signature style, Boterismo, may be what draws people in but his own original works of art truly speak to the Colombian experience.
