Interesting!!
Very interesting museum that shows the life of the miners and owner of the mine. It is located in a house that was built in the 1860. Shows furniture and other artefacts of that time. There is a beautiful park right across the museum that can also be visited.

Worth a quick visit
Lota has just three main attractions - the mine, the park and the museum. You can buy a ticket to all three attractions which is well worth doing. The museum is at the entrance to the park and is right by all the parking (street parking with an attendant). There are lots of stalls around the area selling food, drinks and all manner of lota-related trinkets made from coal. The museum is well worth a quick visit before entering the beautiful park.

fortune in the old times
Interesting to learn how some Chilean "criollos" families have built their fortune. Learn how these "criollos" has been worse for the local population, the Mapuches, than the spanish colonizer. Worth to connect with the actual problems in the Araucania region.
