Good information on Claudio Arrau
I visited this museum after a cab driver told me about it. I decided to visit to see what it was all about. On the good side they have quite a lot of information on Claudio Arrau and even a number of his possessions. On the sad side the original house was destroyed by an earthquake and a large number of items belonging to him are not in Chile. The museum also has a small art exhibit of local art which depending on the time of month can be quite interesting. Also of interest are several pianos in the museum.

Small, worth seeing for music / history lovers
Only a couple of rooms--one with personal items collected by the musician (odd furniture, instruments, artifacts), the other with "interactive exhibits" including a light-driven piano, a huge guitar you can stand inside to hear the acoustics, and a computer program set up to play different instrument sounds. There is a volunteer who takes you through the personal items and explains the life of the musician. It is worth seeing if you are in the area and have 30 min to an hour to spare. The verbal history was essential to appreciating the museum. No fee but a tip is expected (I didn't know how much so I just asked -- 5,000 pesos ($8 USD)

Tiny Museum with a Few Arau Artifacts
Before you are allowed into the museum you are required to watch a long video about Arau's life and then also listen to a powerpoint lecture by a guide. The museum, when you are finally allowed to see it is very disappointing, basically a 8 meter long hallway with some artifacts. Unless you are a dedicated fan of Arau, it really isn't worth it.
