Friendship Bay, Bequia, St. Vincent and the Grenadines

Bequia
Well my name is Vanessa Merswolke and I have lived on Bequia for 5 months. I went to Lower Bay school. This was when i was in grade 5. It was the best experience of my life. Me and my parents used to live on friendship bay in a white house on top of the hill, which is on the right hand side of the scuba diving building looking up to the road. I will never forget my experience living on bequia and i hope to come back there as soon as possible. The people on that island are so wonderful and friendly and i met a lot of great people there especially Anga and her family who lived in Paget Farm and Roolie who is a cab driver there. I love them all and hope to see them all very soon!!!!

Tranquil beach
We were staying on the other side of the island and one morning I decided to walk over to Friendship Bay. It took about 30 minutes to walk over the top, to be faced with a stunning panorama. The beach was almost completely deserted, though there were a few sunbathers in the resort complex. It was lovely to walk along the unspoiled beach with the only sound being that of the waves lapping in. There did not seem to be anything on this beach other than the hotel, so unfortunately no opportunity to even buy a drink.
