We really enjoyed our time shopping and taking photos with the natives. The majority of the children spoke English and weren't afraid to speak with you. If we had more time I would have loved to have spent a day with one of the natives. Other than invading my personal space I didn't have any problems.

Touristy and Expensive
This could be a street anywhere in the world. Only a few spots have any Chinese character to them and everything is expensive. Better to visit the food street behind the shopping street. It’s also touristy, but it’s colorful and the food offerings are unusual and tasty.
