Happy Valley of Beijing, Beijing, China

4.5 (773 reviews) Wednesday: 10:00 AM - 5:00 PM Spent Price Range: from $25.65 Ranking #28 in Beijing Amusement & Theme Parks

An "american" amusement park at Chinese prices.

Our kids had a blast, and it didn't break the bank. And the headliner coaster there was by far the scariest we'd ever seen, Disney, Universal, Flags included. Don't go on a weekend, though, lines are extremely long.

Great Place but A Bit Expensive
My family of four spend a whole day there on 26/3. Entrance ticket fare has escalated: CNY200 for adult & CNY130 for kid below 1.5m. Since it was a weekday, it was not pack & hardly any queue for rides. We enjoyed Flight of the Phoenix & Oddesey rides the most. Tips: going there by metered taxi is very convenient & cheap. Paid CNY36 from Wangfujing. Use pedestrian bridge to cross to the other side to hail taxi back to the city. Beware of 'black taxi'. Use metered taxi only.

    Worth going to and fun
When my friends and I went to Happy Valley it was a Monday so there were not so many people there, so it was fine. The tickets are expensive, about 200RMB per adult and children higher than 120cm. It was okay for that you can play every game inside without paying other tickets (except some particular trains or other) .I would not recommend you to bring small children there, for there were not so many things for a small kid to play, so the ticket for that is too expensive. The limit for the roller coasters is 150cm, which means the children’s height have to be over that limit to play. Overall, it was fun for my friends and me. There were many roller coasters there and some big devices that can throw a bunch of people in the air like a giant swing. I remembered there was one I really enjoyed called “Krystal Fly Cart” or something like that which let you ride a rollercoaster where you have nothing under your feet and you’re like facing downwards. It was so exciting and fun! There were at least five roller coasters in Happy Valley that were fast but there were also slower ones. If you are going there for a full day, you might think of bring your own lunch and water, because not just their food was expensive and not yummy, there would be lots of people buying lunch at noon. Another tip was get a map of the whole Happy Valley and choose some fun games to play and not just standing in lines that cost forever. For me and my friends it was a fun place to go to. If you have time, I would recommend you to go there. (Review made by Jonathan's student Joanna)
