Durga Sagar is the largest pond or dighi of southern Bangladesh, with an area of about 2,500 hectare. It is located at Madhabpasa village of Babuganj Upazila, about 11 km away from Barisal town. Locally it is known as Madhabpasha Dighi. Initially there were four brick built ghats each having 15 m width. Due to the lack of proper maintenance jungles gradually surrounded the dighi.

Durga sagor
This is basically Nice tourist spot in the Barisal town,It si approx.7-8 Km away from main town.Very calm & quite place.Almost 23 acres of land & waterbodies. Its a beautiful lake, established in 17-18 centuries by some Hindu King, who was driven away by some pirates and selected this place to make his palace. A nice places with quite big lake and a small island was at the centre. During winter lots of migratory bairds are coming. A walkways was all around this lake and lot of trees besides the walkways. A wonderful place to visit.
