Unfortunately we haven't done enough research before visiting this place. I wouldn't ever visit again ❗ Turtle island is a big cruetly for the animals living there; Many turtles in small and stinky water basins, snakes with tape around their heads, & lots of animals in small and dirty cages! We paid a lot of money - they told us, they use it for the health of the 'sick' animals - but it totally doesn't look like that. Please don't support this place & stay away! and also save your money. First they wanted 90$ for one Person, we got it down to 30$ that was still way to much for this crap. I would rather burn my Money than give it to these bad people again.

    AVOID BALI'S TURTLE ISLAND!
    I am writing as a tourist that had visited Bali earlier this month in November. Our family's visit to the supposed Turtle Island was marred by the sight and experience that was had nothing to do with conservation. It was a walkabout with turtles and other animals in captivity, not the turtles you see being rehabilitated and hatchlings being released back into the wild. This tourist destination at Tanjung Benoa is an abomination to the true work that wildlife conservationist have put in to protect wildlife of Indonesia. Further, it was a scam to ROB tourists that want to see good work put in to protect the wildlife of Indonesia. The guide on the island even asked us for an under table donation after the tour. This is most deplorable! Like what others have said: STAY AWAY AT ALL COSTS!

    Don't bother! We booked for Turtle Island, which is apparently a rescue centre for injured turtles - This it is not! It's a very poor, tacky, and run down tourist attraction. This place should be closed down, turtles in grotty glass tanks and pools, with not enough space, so they try to escape, fed only on seaweed. The murky tanks only have dregs of seaweed for food, and are not even an attempt to make it look, or feel to them like their natural habitat. There is a small what I can only describe as a child's sandpit where they breed the baby turtles, that are unlikely to ever be released to the wild. There are various size turtles, in various tanks, in very dirty and overcrowded conditions. Next up comes the tacky zoo at the back, with a random owl, a snake, a lizard, a bat, and a monkey. All in very small cages, and the baby monkey looks absolutely terrified. Then they hit you up with a photo you never asked for at 120'000 that you feel compelled to purchase, then stitch you up with drinks that cost double anywhere else. In effect, you're held to ransom We went here at the recommendation of our driver, apparently it's usually 1 million IDR for a couple, but we got it a lot less. It could have been free and I would still be disgusted. I would advise everyone boycott this place, till they get some animal welfare issues sorted out
