Hands on turtle release and education centre

What an amazing project. I got a private guided tour and was able to see nests and today's hatchlings. I released 2 of yesterday's hatchlings into the nursery tank for their maiden swim and then sponsored 2 turtles and went on a boat to a beach to release them. This project do brilliant work rehabilitating turtles who have eaten plastic, got tangled in nets and been poached for the black market. I was there about 90 minutes. It's free to get in and around £14 to sponsor a turtle and release it. An absolute joy, I highly recommend for anyone with a love for wildlife ❤

Educational center where you can appreciate turtles taken care of.
The centre and staff really dedicate to the conservation of turtles. Unlike many other places, they do not charge an entrance fee. They fund the place by offering turtles for adoption, where you name a turtle and they release it for you - adoption is completely optional and they do not pressure you in handing over money. While there is a pool with a few larger turtles that ‘look sad’, the staff explain that those turtles were rescued and are missing limbs or have a broken shell, and therefore cannot be released into the sea. Don’t jump to conclusions, these guys do great work!

    Good for Education
Been there around January with my family, such a good place for education about turtle, there are so many turtle from the baby to the oldest turtle. not only turtle, we also can see bat, bird, snake, and other animals. The ticket was IDR 20k, but i'm sure that you come with groups, you will get cheaper price.
