Neka Art Museum, Bali, Indonesia

Worth a look
Overlooking a beautiful garden setting the Neka museum is the best place on the Island of Bali to enjoy high quality artworks by both Indonesian and foreign artists. You get to meander through traditional buildings laid out like a family compound, each one filled with various artworks from traditional to contemporary, to photography and more. The photography opportunities are endless, and there are lots of benches to sit and admire, plus each artwork is accompanied by information plaque to go with it. Total time will be around 2 hours give or take. There is a lot to admire. I was the only visitor as it is not really a popular location

Best art gallery in Ubud
This is the best art gallery we have visited in Bali. Great mixture of sculptures, Balinese artefacts and mostly art works. If you are a fan of art galleries or just have a passing interest visit this place. You can spend anywhere from 1 hour to up to 3. We'll worth a visit.

Worth it or not?
This place is great, to see art in it's multiplicity of genres from contemporary to traditional, you want to see the art works here. I will tell you now, some of the works have no credits to the artist or mediums used; but it is so worth it if you have the time and are a lover of art. This is a half day journey into the minds of artists and needs your time to enjoy it. Don't bother filling up with caffeine at the cafe, its waiting for a headstone. Otherwise enjoy. P.S The Keris section of traditional and ceremonial knives is very worth a view to see some of the most beautifully decorated handles.
