Brilliant!
We ran into Darta (Wayan) when we visited Pura Pasar Agung Sebudi to check out Mt Agung. Darta was terrific - very informative and friendly - and he gave us an excellent insight into the volcano and it’s effect on the local community. My partner asked many questions on various subjects and Darta was more than willing to give us a thorough run-down on everything he asked. We hope that on our next trip Mt Agung will be behaving itself so we can book a climb with Darta.

Brilliant!

A special kind of trip with a special kind of man
This summer, me and my fiance had the great fortune to run into Wayan. We were looking to go off the beaten path, and contacted him directly almost by chance. The next three days were an adventure of kindness, warmheartedness and adventure. Dartha is an incredible human being, who generously showed us around Bali, including his home in the evacuated village south of Agung. Our trip was richer for it, and I am richer for having met this wonderful man. TripAdvisor is perfect for letting the outside world know of this man. I heartily recommend anyone and everyone headed for Bali to take contact with him for any experiences they wish. Dartha is locked out of his main job since Mt. Agung became evacuated back in October of 2017, but he knows Bali inside and out and is a kindhearted spirit and I can imagine no better companion to travel around seeing Bali with.
