Urbexer's "Must See"
There's lot of people who like walking through and taking pictures of abandoned places. They're called urban explorers (urbexers). If you belong to them, the visit to this abandoned hotel is a must-do thing when traveling to Bali. I will not discuss here the history and the rumors of the hotel. This has been described many times it's not a problem to find any information. So just a few practical advices: The optimal access is from the road here: -8.298422, 115.176316. There's a security guard here who, for a symbolic 10,000 IDR fee, picks up the bar and lets you park right in front of the reception. Well, then this vast hotel is only yours. You will find enormous, impressive spaces. Preserved sculptures, reliefs, marble floors make an impressive contrast to mossy pillars and flooded rooms. Definitely one of the best urbex sites not only in Bali but all I have visited so far.

Why not !!
We had heard about this place & when we drove past a second time we had to stop. Our Balinese driver & friend would not come with us - brings bad luck. It was a Saturday so that could be why no caretaker was on duty. Wow it was amazing that such a very opulent hotel is now just left to be damaged by the weather & age. Beautiful ornate floors & ceilings still obvious. It was a creepy but definitely fun experience to walk around - some areas are dark & spooky ? A beautiful view from the top.

An interesting mysterios place
Ablolute worth a visit. It looks like it was a massive luxury hotel complex back in times. You can still see the spectacular entrance with reception and stone ornaments on the floor. Look behind the reception desk to see a beautiful golden door. You can discover the whole complex with rooms and terasse. All the Marmor and granite floor and steps are still there. The view from the terasse is amazing.
