    Excellent Value, great day out.
This isn't a Zoo in the true sense of the word, its more like an upmarket animal sanctuary. Don't be put off by the small car park, which makes the place look a little bit like a run down petting farm. Once you go through the gates, you will find an immaculately clean facility, which is incredibly well maintained. The cafe/restaurant offers high quality snack food (Burgers, baguettes, Salads etc) at a very reasonable price. The food was lovely. The Zoo itself has excellent enclosures and a good selection of animals & birds. They have a splash park, which again is first class for children upto the age of 10. You could easily spend 4 to 5 hours there if you eat, visit the zoo and utilise the splash park. If you have children under the age of 10, then this won't disappoint. Likewise dont worry about being crammed in, we went during the height of the holiday season and the place was empty (probably because the car park is so small). Give it a try, you won't be disappointed.

    Unforgettable!
Absolutely lovely day out! I was expecting more like a small petting zoo, but there were lots of exotic animals in clean enclosures, the paths were well maintained and it was well signposted throughout. Lots of shady spots with benches for resting in hot weather were a pleasant but essential provision. The staff were so friendly and engaging, lots of smiles and very helpful. The toilets were incredibly clean and the restaurant had a varied and tasty menu at decent prices. The childrens play area in the restaurant caters for small children who might get a bit fidgety at meal times. There is also a refreshing and fun water play area for cooling off children and willing adults. We LOVED it and we would definitely come back again. Some highlights were holding the snakes, watching the terrapins jostling for space and plopping in the water, and seeing a baby lemur being given a bath by its mum!
