Far de la Mola, Balearic Islands, Spain

4.5 (731 reviews) Spent Ranking #1 in Formentera Lighthouses

Really grear views. You should come.

The Mola ligthhouse is one of the attractions you should visit during your stay in Formentera. The views are really beautiful. We didn't try to come inside the lighthouse. There is a restaurant there. We recommend you to arrive by motorbike, as there isn't many places to park. There are some reservated parks for electrical cars.

    Stupendous views
This old lighthouse faces East and commands stupendous views over the Mediterranean from 100 meter high cliffs. Jules Vernes called this the end of the world... A plaque tells how he came here. Come early to see the sunrise and then have a coffee at the small bar. Or just walk around admire the cliffs, the sea, the seabirds and the sun.

    A really "must see" place
At the southern most tip of the island you have to go here to look at the lighthouse and the cliffs. There is also a monument to Jules Verne who wrote a novel including the place I think. There is a very nice bar restaurant here also well worth tying for a simple lunch and a few beers. The near by village of La Mola hosts the hippy market on Wednesdays and Sundays - also worth a visit
