Locked perimeter metal fence with bars removed...

The most bizarre visit I have ever made to a Roman Ruin. There was a locked permitted metal fence with bars knocked through allowing brave tourists to slip through the security! Free parking. No visitors centre. I don’t who holds the keys for the totally useless and penetrated fence but the Romans would have howled at them. I can’t for obvious historic reasons agree that the fort was never used. It simply appeared from the archeology that it was a building easily packed away and was probably used as a seasonal installation during Roman rule.

A roman place in Formentera, ot only stones?
El Castell romà de Can Blai is the only Roman construction located in Formentera. It is located close to the main road between Ses Roques and La Mola towns, in the narrowest part of the island. You can see all structure, but only you can surround it, because it is closed by a fence. If you like very much this type of old constructions, it is so interesting and you can walk around, in the mediterranean forest, but if you do not like these type of old constructions, it is only stones on the roof. (I like this type of constructions, but for me, this castle is only stones and you can not see any form). (See also Sepulcro megalítico de Ca Na Costa)
