Incredible views of Cabos San Lucas
Don’t miss this hike when visiting Los Cabos! The last part of it you’re climbing rock and coming down was tricky but manageable if you’re used to hiking. It’s closed to the public, so you need to go up as a group with Enrique. He’s a dog trainer who leads this hike 6 days a week (everyday except Saturday). As of Feb 2023 the hike starts at 8:15 AM. We got there at 7:55 and joined the line by the fence. He starts the hike with a little history then we hike up to a hill where he goes on a rant about energies of the earth and breathing. If you can sit through his propaganda, the views at the top of Mt. Solmar are incredible! Heads up, about 10 dogs hiked with our group as well. The hike is free, but we gave a tip at the end.

Mt Solmar July 7 2021 was awesome!
Hiked Mt Solmar on July 7th with my family. As others have written just show up at the Dog Rescue at 8am for an 8:15am start. Parking isn’t close so take an Uber so you can just be dropped off. No reservations needed. No cost. We tipped $20 at the end. Enrique and his dogs guide you up Mt. Solmar. He stops twice for a rest break and getting to the top took 35 min. We were back down by 10:30 so we spent about an hour up top. He let me fly my DJI Mavic drone as well. We all loved it!!
