Fun, tasty, chill.
I have been wanting to visit La Ruta De Vinos in Valle de Guadalupe for a long time and finally made the trip- first stop, Monte Xanic! First off, I want to acknowledge my particular hostess - Sara , she was absolutely amazing and knowledgeable. I didn’t disclose that I’m an actual sommelier until mid way through our tasting and her reaction was hilarious! Her knowledge of wines was impressive and she was able to express her ideas in both English, Spanish and Spanglish, her whole vibe was refreshing and charming. My husband, Sara and I had a fun time discussing the wines in our flight, sharing notes on what aromas and palette we were able to discern in the wines. Monte Xanic has a great history and the entire compound is amazing and well kept - those old vines are so stunning! I would definitely recommend coming here as it is one of the leading producers in the region. The Sauvignon Blanc is a wonderful expression of the grape and it’s just amazing that such beautiful wine is growing in Mexico! Premier blend is also exceptional, a beautiful blend of Cab, Merlot and Malbec. I would love to be back and taste the entire portfolio!

Great wine and great service.
Great tasting with lovely service. Our server, Marel, was very attentive and explained all the wines and answered any questions we had. We were also splitting tastings (since we were going to 4+ wineries) and she graciously brought out more glasses so that we wouldn’t all have to drink from the same glasses. Monte Xanic was the highlight of our wine tour, and we thought the wines were some of the best we had all day. As well, they were very good about following health and safety measures for COVID. The personal attention and quality of wines made us want to come back as soon as possible! Thank you Marel!
