Wonderful one!
Good place to visit, lots of toys and Thai antiques things, made me recognize to childhood period. Calm place, covered by trees, nice to visit in the afternoon after been to warm places outside. Recommend!

point of rest away from tourist sites
This small museum is just a 10-minute bicycle ride away from the main sites of the Historical UNESCO heritage park of the former Siamese capital. If you cycle to beautiful Wat Phu Khao Tong (huge chedi outside of Ayutthaya), the museum is right at the corner of Road 309 leading out of Ayutthaya. There is an admission fee of 50 Baht. Outside the museum there is a small garden, where you can sit or pic-nic among beautiful lotus flower pots. The museum is not only for children and shows a mix of old and new toys, most interesting of course the older exhibits. The owner and founder is usually present, and speaks good English. It is one of the cleanest and best aired museums I have been to in Thailand. The little shop sells toys and postcards at acceptable prices.

Pro & Con Visiting the Toy Museum
Pro & Cons Visiting the Toy Museum Pros: 1. Nice, decent and clean layout of the museum. 2. Has a cozy coffee shop. 3. Reasonable entry fee of Baht 50/person (for foreigner). 4. Has a small souvenir shop inside the museum. 5. Near to the Ayutthaya Historical Site (less than 5 km). Cons: 1. No air conditioning for both the museum and its coffee shop. 2. No informative description of items on display. 3. Its not exclusively an all toys museum. Collection of Thai antiques are also part of the display. 4. Many toys are of the same kind. 5. Not so many souvenirs available. T-shirt and mugs designs are not that attractive. 6. No shoes allowed in the museum. Can cause inconvenient to some guests. Sharing notes: 1. Good place to kill about half an hour to 1 hour of your spare time. 2. We spent only about half an hour touring the 2-levels museum. 3. If you plan to rent a bike, its within the cycling distance. But it will be hot and humid between March to May. 4. We drove from Bangkok (about 1 hour) and made only a day trip to Ayutthaya.
