Perfect Lunch Break Getaway

I come here pretty regularly to walk in the woods on my lunch break as a way to de-stress from my work day. The trails are pretty well maintained, and even though this little nature center is right in the middle of the city, it's always quiet and peaceful. I hardly ever come across anybody else so it usually seems like I have the place to myself. I've seen lots of deer and other wildlife out there. The lodge and rental cabins they have are really nice and well-built, too.

    Woodsy
I've attended a number of company events here - summer picnics and leadership meetings. Its good for both. The grounds around it in the summer offer space for a few games and hiking. In the winter it's a warm cabin in the woods away from the office to concentrate. There is a small area to set up food (you bring in). Tables etc. to sit around and talk - and a nice fireplace for winter ambiance. Yet its very close to everything.

    Interesting but
We stopped in because this was located on our route. It interesting and refreshing to see the nature scenery in an urban.
