Interesting ethnographic visit

From Taramundi, a great example of well-kept village from the asturian southwest area, it is worth to reach this place. Very interesting guided tours with live demos of a series of water-driven old engines. The restaurant serves reasonably good food at a good price with fantastic service. Try there “costillas” (ribs) and “tarta de la abuela” (homemade gramma’s pie).

A great place to have a sight of Asturias sXIX
This open museum is indeed a well keep place ahead of Taramundi. An amazing set of buildings with machines from 1800's that served this small village of 9 families. Everything is working and is well preserved, well guided.

Interesting out of the way place
I recommend this place even thought it is way off the beaten path . I suggest parking on the right below the town and walking up the path which could be right out of lord of the rings . They have a restaurant that cools the bottles in the stream that runs by the village
