Absolutely the best museum in Armenia. Spacious, well organized, excellent English-speaking guide. Recommended!!!
This museum is about a 45 minute drive from Yerevan. It is located on a large complex that also includes the Sardarapat Memorial. I've been to nearly every museum in Armenia and this is by far the best one. It feels modern, very well laid out, spacious, and houses the nicest collection of cultural artifacts I've seen in Armenia. I highly, highly recommend you visit this museum. Entrance fee was 700 dram (about $1.50) per person and guided tour was an additional 3500 dram for the group. I recommend bringing a group of people so that the cost for the guided tour is not much per person. We had a group of 8, so the tour was very affordable! Tour guide spoke exceptional English and really was very nice. She had a great sense of humor. If you do the tour then you should count on your visit taking 1-2 hours. You'll love this museum!

Great collection
Isn't this the same as Sardarapt museum? Great job Patrick, posting all these photos. We visited the place with my kids in summer and they really enjoyed the museum. A lot of exponats, number of rooms, levels, guides available.

Interesting
A very interesting ethnographic museum, where I would recommend a guided tour with good explanations about the exhibitions. Can definitely be recommended.
