Magnificent lake
This is a magnificent huge lake surrounded by mountains and beautiful views, that we passed by on our way to Kars, it deserves a stop and you can spend a good time enjoying it. It get frozen in winter and has fish. Few small houses are noted around the lake.

Frozen !
I have never seen the lake completely frozen. I tried riding carriage touring on the lake. You can ride snow mobile and ice skating. I didn't have time to try, but there is a fishing tour, you can make a hole on the frozen lake and fishing. I really enjoyed this amazing nature here !

Best part of our trip to Kars
A must if you are visiting Kars. We were there when the lake was frozen and were able to rent horse drawn carriages (you can rent snow mobiles as well) and watch fishermen take out fish from holes they had made in the ice. Afterwards we had warm wine around a wood stove in the shack, and some musicians came and made music.
