Lemurs!
We were on an excursion from our cruise ship. We got tendered into port and immediately put on a small local boat for a short ride to a part of Nosy Be. Our guide walked us through a very interesting village (the kids are adorable) where the local life could be seen. We walked up a path about 39-45 minutes. Then all of a sudden there were lemurs everywhere!! It was amazing. I was looking forward to this part of the trip and it did not disappoint.

Leaping Lemurs -- Lots of Them
We were on an excursion from our cruise ship and arrived on the island of Nosy Be in a small outboard motorboat. Even though it was raining at the time, our anticipation of seeing the lemurs was palpable. We crossed the beach and a local guide led us up the slippery slope into the canopy of trees. Soon there were lemurs coming down to check us out, with their big beady eyes ready to pop out. Since lemurs are so rare around the world, it was very exciting to see them in the wild. It was a special day.

Great excursion
We did 3 excursions with This company! - Sakatia - Nosy Komba and Tanikely - Island Tour We were so impressed with every one of these experiences. Tour operators were informative and caring. Food was good and we experienced Madagascar in true Malagasy way. I will highly recommend this company! Thanks for great fun on Nosy Be!
