Overnight trip to Nosy Iranja
This is one of the best companies to go with if you want to visit Nosy Iranja. My friend and I went for an overnight trip and we thoroughly enjoyed it. The journey to the island itself was entertaining as we were taken by a speed boat and stopped on the way to see the whales and dolphins. We then were allowed to snorkel in an area close to the island where there was interesting sea life. Snorkelling equipment was provided. The island itself is stunning and the accomodation suited it. We stayed in the beach front tents. The bed was a mattress on the floor and a mosquito net was in place. The tents were basic but this was expected and it met all our needs. We were fed lunch once we arrived at the island which compromised of coco rice, pasta salad and fish. Food-wise there were plenty of options to choose from for all our meals and the portions were generous. We finished the meal with fresh pineapple slices and water bottles were also handed to us so we could stay hydrated by the sea. We had free time for the rest of the day, then went on a tour around the island guided by Frank who was very knowledgeable. We finished the day watching the sunset whilst sipping mojitos which was a lovely touch. The second day was similar to the first and we left the island after lunch which allowed us a sufficient amount of time to enjoy it. All in all this trip was amazing value for money and very well conducted. Frank our guide was hospitable, friendly and knowledgeable. Bearing in mind that transport; snorkelling equipment; four meals; tour of the island and overnight accomodation were all included, I believe this is a modestly priced trip and worth the money which was €120 per person at the time that we went. Highly recommended.

Icredible, stunning, fantastic...
I wish there were grades higher than 5 to rank Les Baleines Rand'eau. I would give them 6 or 7 if I could. I embarked on a trip with Baleines Rand’eau after two days spent with two other companies in two failed attempts to find a whale shark. By the third day I have almost lost all hope and when I got on the Baleines boat, I kept telling myself not to set my hopes too high. But those guys proved to be excellent. We were looking for the spots with fish jumping out of the water and birds hanging around. First, we found a big shark (8 meter long) with electronic tag. We encountered this shark four times although he was not in the mood to spend time with us and would move away after each encounter. But then we finally saw a smaller shark, a 4-meter long baby girl, who was very friendly and curious and happy to stay with us. She was particularly interested in the boat and the propeller. We spent quite a lot of time swimming with her. It was incredible! From the very first encounter with the big shark I was stunned and dazed. I could not believe that I was finally seeing it. It was the most fantastic experience, one of the best moments in my life, and I hope I will be able to repeat it. After swimming with whale sharks we were taken to the turtle lagoon to swim with green turtles. In the end we had lunch on an enchanting beach. Quite an experience! My biggest thanks to Julien the guide and Captain Black. Guys, you are absolutely the best! I’ll do my best to go on a trip with you again.
