Fast, Cheap, Efficient, and Clean!
We were truly impressed with the metro system in Medellin, as it was so cheap to get around from one end to the city, to another. The service was on time, really fast, and the cleanest I've ever seen. Definitely the way to go if you want to travel fast in Medellin.

Easy and efficient
We got everywhere we wanted to go on the metro quickly and easily. We got a civica card and added the amount needed for both of us to get everywhere. We told the guy at the ticket booth all of our stops, including the cable cars, and he told us how much to put on. Trains came often and we're far cleaner than any public trains I've seen in the U.S. Traffic can also get crazy, so the metro is often a more reliable choice than getting a car.

Reliable, safe and affordable.
The Medellin Metro does exactly what you want from a metro. It gets you from point A to point b safely, affordably and reliably. As part of our city tour, our tour guide took us from communa 13 to the city centre using the metro and it was an easy process to get there. My one complaint would be the fact that the metro places don't have a lot of handicapped accessible options. So my mom has knee problems and struggled to make her way up and down the stairs. Obviously, my mom is not the only one who suffers from knee issues and they should really address this.
