A must if you like art.
I was pleasantly surprised by the Museo del Castillo. To start with it’s more of a country house than a museum - think National Trust if you are British. The art and decoration inside is really high class (eg Sevres, Limoges and Meissen porcelain and some good Art Deco sculpture) and the gardens are a very pleasant place to while away a few hours watching the flycatchers and tanagers. My only regret is that the staff don’t seem to recognise what a gem they have, so all you get is an hour’s tour reciting from memory a list of “things”. There’s nothing about how the art got there, why the builder decided on the French chateau style and how the final owners were inspired to buy so cleverly.

Extraordinary house (castle?) build in 1930s - worth a look
This place is highly unusual - unlike any "real" stately home. Owner must have been slightly mad to have built this - very old fashioned, narrow corridors and lots of steps up and down, We agreed that the owner must have been "un poco loco". Lovely grounds and a small cafe bar to have a coffee. Very pleasant visit.
