カッパドキアから、少し離れているので、ツアーに参加して行きました。夏場になると、ほぼ塩で、一面真っ白な綺麗な景色。すごく奥の方まで歩いて、やっと少しだけ水のあるところにいけました。時期によっては、ウユニ塩湖のような鏡ばり写真も撮れるそうです。 A little far from Cappadocia, we went on a tour. In the summer, the scenery is almost completely white with salt. We walked to the back and finally got to the place where a little water remained. Depending on the time of year, you can take a mirrored photo like Uyuni salt lake.

More like a desert when it's clear
This is a huge lake with 1,665 ㎦ area. In October when I visited, there's almost no rain and it looked like a desert. - The admission is free. - It'll be much better after rain because the ground reflects in the picture. - There's almost no water on the surface. But, if you dig a little bit, you can find out it's a lake inside. - Most people don't move far from the entrance. If you prepare plenty of water and go further than 5 km, you'll experience a fantastic moment with nothing else. How to get there: There's one regular bus from Ankara to Tuz Gölü operated by Tuz Gölü Seyehat. From Aşti otogar (bus terminal), there's a bus almost every hour between 07:30 and 18:30. The destination is Şereflikoçhisar which is close to Tuz Gölü. If you ask the bus attendant for Tuz Gölü, the bus will let you get off at Tuzgölü Restoran that is the northern entrance of Tuz Gölü. It takes 100 ~ 120 min. When you come back to Ankara, wait for the bus across the highway in front of the motel.

Surreal...
On a bus from Ankara's airport to Cappadocia... we stopped by Tuz Golu. It was a surprise that was not on my to do list. It was surreal, the type of stuff you'd expect from a Michelangelo Antonioni or Andrucha Waddington movie.. people were walking seemingly on water... then you realized as your adjusted to the blinding white light, that there was no or very very little water ... it was all salt We walked, somewhat disoriented, completely humbled by the site.. then we returned to the bus, carefully avoiding the salt and facial treatment vendors and moved on to the steppe into Cappadocia with the lake in our eyes.....
