Thank you to the guy that recommended the 228 bus costing only 1 Rmb from Luan railway to Wanxi. Worth 2 hour scrambling, but smaller than I expected. There is a ridge circuit and an awesome slide to kill a few more hours, worth bringing lunch and absorb the view from the top of the valley. Wear sensible shoes as I saw a few ladies slip in their flats. Great interest to geologist and bird watchers. Worth an overnight stay and add Dabie mountain to your visit, the area is so small enough to walk around between sites without a car, or hitch a lift from the local electric cars. Several hotels including 3 hot spring resorts.
