Dujia Battle Memorial Hall, Anhui, China

4.5 (5 reviews) Spent Ranking #22 in Hefei Military Museums

New attraction in the expanded Hefei

The City of Hefei has grown all the way to the Chaohu Lake. The Dujiang Battle Memorial is one of the new attractions in the new district. Dujiang means "crossing the Yangtze river". Dujiang Battle was a critical, decisive battle in the late 40's for the People's Liberation Army to win the Chinese civil war. The memorial hall is shaped like a boat. There is also a tall monument which is star-shaped if you look from the top. The landscape and design are spectacular. Lot of visitors. We did not go inside the memorial hall as we arrived very late in the afternoon. I will likely visit it again in the future if there is another opportunity.

New area, new memorial hall, victory day? July 2015
On 31 July 2015, I was there because I had to ask regarding the status of my foreign expert certificate visa. It turned out that this place is very close to the office of the ministry of foreign affairs of Anhui Province. Therefore, I did have a good time watching the battle memorial hall.
