A very unique zoo with interaction experiences

We’re told to visit this totally unique zoo by a lady we met. She explained for a little extra on the entrance fee that you could interact with a lot of the animals. It is quite a small zoo but we’ll worth the effort as all the animals are rescued. For an extra 40 euros we were able to stroke and meet a 10 month old pair of lions, Fred a baby monkey and stroke some seals. We also fed goats, pigs and stroked lemurs, held a snake and an eagle and also had a bird sitting on my shoulder. The staff are very friendly and meeting wild animals so close is an experience I will always remember. The animals include crocodiles, panthers, monkeys, tigers and reptiles. I will always remember holding and feeding a baby monkey and stroking the lion. It is a bit out of the way but we’ll worth a visit

Saving trafficked animals and educating visitors
Whatever the disappointing impressions you get as you walk up the worn path to the entrance, leave them at the door: this zoo is one of the best I've visited. Zoos are interesting to see but I always feel for the captive animals inside. But for once, I really got the impression that the animals' stimulation is front and centre, as much as it can be. The animals seemed alert and engaged, not pacing back and forth in a distressed or hidden from view way as is often the case. On top of that the zoo looks after rescued animals that would have otherwise fallen foul of the illegal animal trade.

    Not the usual zoo
Really enjoyed our visit, the staff were friendly & spoke good English. The animals seem well looked after & the runs all around the zoo for the little lemurs is great you can buy food for them & feed them on the way around. I believe they are all rescued animals which was the only reason we went, I wouldn’t normally go to a zoo.
