Most magnificent view of Seville

This lovely structure was originally built as a minaret for a mosque, although it has since been converted into a bell tower.

    worth the effort
It is recommended to purchase tickets in advance for the Giralda and the Cathedral of Seville. From my check I found that there are no tickets online for the next few days, so it is better to purchase in advance. Entry is possible just in time. The climb to the tower is relatively not difficult and is continuous without stairs. The view from the top is very impressive and worth the effort

    Originally a Minaret
Originally the building was a minaret part of a large mosque, the mosque was largely destroyed but the minaret survived an a large tower placed on top. There are no steps (or a lift) up to the top, but a series of 35 ramps which makes the accent easier. The ramps were built to allow men on horseback get to the top without dismounting. The views from the tier contains a number of bells (there is a second higher tier which was closed to the public) and you had spectacular views of the whole city with 360 degree access. The downside is that there appears to be very little crowd control, in our case we walked up the ramps to level 16 quite quickly, we then encountered a slow moving queue up to level 35, the bell tower was extremely crowded and gaining viewing access was extremely challenging.
