Incredible collection of Sevillan painters
The Museum of Fine Arts of Seville, founded in 1839, contains a collection of works from medieval times through the early 20th century. It displays a choice selection of works by Spanish artists from the 17th century, the so-called Golden Age of Sevillian painting. Monday Closed

Incredible collection - a hidden gem
The museum has an impressive collection for medium size institutions. It specializes in Spanish art from the late middle ages through the early modern period. Wonderful artists such as Murillo, El Greco and Velasquez. Amazingly the cost is only 1.50 Euros per person. They only accept cash and when we indicated that we didn't have cash the staffer graciously let us in any way. There weren't many visitors there when we arrived. A hidden gem! Highly recommend!

An art enthusiasts treat
We came here in 2018 and only got to see a small part of the exhibition so to have time to come back and walk around the many delights was a treat. As a teacher of Theology, the vast array of religious art by the Spanish medieval painters such as Murillo and Vargas have me a lot to take in. Lovely to see a lot of Spanish art in context and even some signs in English so very helpful.
