Specializes in 19th and 20th century Spanish art - entrancing

Every time we come to Malaga, we have to visit this Museum. In a lovely building but more than that it is a finely curated collection of art from the past 2 centuries. Some naturalist, some impressionist, all powerful Spanish images with remarkable use of light. It is well worth the fee and can by visited in 1 - 3 hours, depending on how engaged you become.

Great collection scanning last few centuries
A must if you are in Malaga. A really well displayed collection of unusual turn-of-the 20th century Spanish paintings (as well as much else). An interesting comparison with the Picasso Museum collection of paintings by Picasso at a similar time.

    Enjoyable well-presented gallery
This is a small gallery covering Spanish art from about 1860 to the First World War. It follows a definite theme and has lovely paintings by artists who should be better known . When we were there it had an exhibition of Belgian art of the same period which we enjoyed very much
