Important historical place to understand the glorious history of Al Andaluz in general and Cordoba in particular.
The museum is nice recreation of the settlement created in the Xth century. Although only 12% of the city is recovered during archeological excavation, the museum helps to create the vision and feeling of the epoch. With archeological artifacts and 3D recreation the whole exhibition is nice possibility to understand the sudden glory and the sudden “sunset” of this historical place.

Medina Azahara
An interesting medieval Arab city. Unfortunately we didn't have enough time and we only reached the visitor center. There is a free museum dedicated to the remains of the city. The museum is interesting and you can see how some of the artifacts are stored. From the visitor center there is a bus that goes to the very remains of the city.

Good Archeological Site
This is an active archeological site and has been appointed an Unesco World Heritage Site. Progress, although slow, is being made and you can wallk around the site. Many of the stones from the site have been taken by others for personal or other use (a monastery on top of the hill you can see from the site is a perfect example). The film beforehand provides great orientation of the site. A city bus (you need to pay) takes you from the parking lot to the architectural dig site.
