    Here now
This is one very nice place to visit. We are currently staying at The Melia Atlantico Hotel which is situated between the marina and the sea front,a superb hotel exerlent in all corners. Give it some serious thoughts you will not be disappointed . A hidden treasure.

    Lovely peaceful walk
We love Isla Canela and have visited a number of times. There is a little ferry that goes across to Isla Cristina - about 15 mins trip for 6 euros return. Once there you can catch the tourist train which takes you on a decent tour of the area. You'd miss most of it if you walked, there's nothing close to the marina at Isla Cristina so the train is a good idea. We loved it although the driver seemed to find every single bump in the road. The commentary is in fast Spanish but you can get the general idea. We saw some fantastic scenery, beaches etc. We came back to Isla Canela for lunch, a visit to Sugar Reef or Cindys is a must. We usually go to Sugar Reef at lunchtime and Cindys in the evening. If you want to fill yourself up with steak and ale pie with veg and mash, Cindys is the place to go, it's absolutely the best pie I've ever tasted.
