Great Renaissance style Cathedral
The cathedral is a majestic renaissance building. Its architect, Andrés de Vandelvira, designed a very harmonious cathedral; the best perception of its harmony, it is when you go upstairs, and you look at the cathedral from the upper galleries. To visit the Cathedral, it is necessary to pay 6 euros, including the entry an audio guide. The texts are of high quality, but perhaps too technical, for those who do not master the technical vocabulary, referring to architectural elements. Enjoy!

Imposing Renaissance Cathedral
Although this is an imposing and massive building, it’s inside seems smaller than you might imagine and it doesn’t take long to view. Unfortunately the audio guide is of the style I have mentioned in reviews of other cathedrals - an over detailed description delivered in boring tones by an Englishman who makes far too many mispronunciations. Your entry fee also includes use of a VR headset if you wish - really worth giving it ago to fly above and around the outside and interior of the cathedral - you see more and it’s a lot easier on your feet. Several languages available. The architecture is mainly Renaissance in style, which to my mind makes it over ornamented. Nonetheless the talent of the builders and artists whose efforts have produced what you see is quite remarkable. The crypt is accessed separately at the back of the building.

Magnificent splendour and soaring columns
Although you have to pay an entry price of 5 Euros it is worth it to appreciate the stunning architecture. The soaring columns create layers of light and space that are almost magical. Alongside the outer walls are decorated chapels and some stunning pictures. There are numerous small rooms that allow you to wander and it is almost as though someone has opened their house. A delightful, majestic and stunning cathedral.
