We are a private, independent and secular project that seeks to recover the lost memory of the Jewish culture and history of Sepharad, the Hebrew name for the Iberian Peninsula. Through different rooms we will see how more than 15 centuries of Jewish presence were violently erased after 1492, creating a society that denied religious and cultural diversity.

Unexpected must-see gem
So much history but what you’ll remember the most is passionate nature of this place. I was surprised by museum guide giving as a little bit of a history through music (by singing) which still echoes in my mind. The gallery of female musicians feels empowering and you have the history from slightly different perspective. Didn’t plan to come & visit but this was my first stop on my way to another destination; this happy coincidence made my visit. I’d love to go back to appreciate it even more.

Jewish/Spanish history in a nutshell
If you are in to medieval Spanish history or if you want to understand the role of Jewish presence in Spain, this is worth the visit. The neighbourhood is really inviting a lot to see, also the nearby synagoge wil add value to your visit. Nice helpful staff en well explained in multiple languages!
