Absolutely beautiful....
Historically and culturally this is a must see when in Seville. The wealth of the church is definitely on display through the gold and silver, demonstrating incredible artistry. Unfortunately, I suspect much of the gold and silver came from the Mayan and Aztec peoples being conquered resulting in their artistry being destroyed. However, what is here is really something to behold and absorb.

Fascinating
I find the way Spanish people dress the statues of saints in rich dresses and jewels truly fascinating - if you would like to see an excellent example, this church is definitely a place to go to. Apparently there are stories of bullfighters bringing gifts for this statue as a token of their gratitude - which is an interesting local custom. We've been here twice and once the queue was terribly long and the other time it was completely empty.
